Founded in April 2002, The Villages Concert Band is an all-volunteer wind ensemble of Villages residents organized to provide enjoyable concert performances for Villages audiences and energize its members' retirement years with the opportunity to play music together.  The Band plays two concerts each year at the Savannah Center, a Christmas recital at The Church on the Square, and at other special events throughout the year.  Selections from the Band's repertoire of over 200 arrangements include marches, patriotic compositions, Broadway musicals, popular songs, big band selections and light classical favorites.  

Concert Band members also provide personnel for pit orchestras playing in support of Villages theatrical productions, as well as the Villages Swing Band, the Villages Sunshine Strollers, and instrumental accompaniment for community and church choral groups.  It is the sponsor of The Villages New Horizons Concert Band.  Total membership in the band and its affiliates number more than 150 Villages residents.
