Ward Green recently retired as Director of Bands at Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, FL, where he conducted the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Marching Band. He taught in the Duval County School System for 34 years on the Elementary, Junior High and Senior High levels. He was selected as the 1985-86 Terry Parker Teacher of the Year. Mr. Green received the Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees from Jacksonville University. He performed with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra for 10 years playing the Bass Clarinet. He currently resides in The Villages with his wife Dianne. He enjoys golfing, motorcycling, concerts, and the many opportunities the community has to offer. |
